Meet the team behind CDL Australia’s residential projects

Behind every CDL Australia development is a team of experienced property professionals guiding projects from early acquisition and planning through to construction and completion. Their expertise, combined with carefully selected Australian partners, underpins a delivery model built on discipline, collaboration and long-term value.

At the helm is Cameron Laird, Head of Australia. With more than 25 years’ experience across large-scale property development and asset management, Cameron oversees strategy, investment and portfolio growth. Since helping establish CDL’s Australian presence, he has shaped a residential pipeline grounded in considered capital deployment and measured growth.

Working closely with him is John Bush, Director, Residential Australia, who has been with CDL Australia since July 2019. John brings national experience across the full development lifecycle, from site acquisition through to settlement. John’s main priority has been the delivery of Brickworks Park in Brisbane, an infill, master planned residential community generating strong interest for its innovative design and resort-style facilities. Designed by Rothelowman and delivered in partnership with Brisbane Builders, Creation Homes and Position Property, the project reflects CDL Australia’s commitment to working alongside established Australian builders, sales agents and design leaders.

Supporting residential delivery is Mark Rabone, Assistant Vice President, Development. With a background spanning senior project and development management roles, Mark oversees residential projects currently underway in Queensland and Victoria, ensuring approvals, construction and timeline management are aligned to project objectives.

At a development management level, Federico Keil plays a key role across acquisitions, development and investment along Australia’s eastern seaboard. Having progressed within CDL Australia to Development Manager, he is involved in feasibility, procurement and coordination across multiple sites.

Supporting the team is Development Executive Kelsey Ingram, contributing to project planning and execution and reinforcing continuity between strategy and delivery.

Across the broader portfolio, CDL Australia has a commitment to partner with respected local companies to ensure quality outcomes. Fitzroy Fitzroy, designed by DKO and built by Cobild, is being delivered as a joint venture with Chapter Group and Crema Group, combining aligned expertise across development and construction. The Archive – CDL Australia’s first build-to-rent development – was designed by Hayball and constructed by Crema Constructions, with onsite management by Essence Communities.

The all-Australian team works alongside expert delivery partners to provide strategic oversight at leadership level, hands-on development management and close collaboration with experienced Australian architects, builders and operators. It is this alignment that enables projects to move confidently from concept through to completion.

CDL Australia’s local experience is backed by more than six decades of global property development success. To learn more, click here.
