Laying the foundation for an exciting new chapter in West Melbourne

Construction of  The Marker, CDL Australia’s joint-venture project in West Melbourne, is now well under way. With demolition works complete, contractors are getting ready to begin laying the foundations for this high-end, urban community.

The Marker is set to transform this West Melbourne precinct into a vibrant neighbourhood with an approach to modern living that focuses on quality, liveability and connectivity.

The project is located at 512-544 Spencer Street, West Melbourne, at the site of an old commercial office furniture warehouse.

Comprising of three buildings named after the West Melbourne streets in which they are situated, Roden edition, Stanley edition and Spencer edition,  The Marker is leading the next chapter in sophisticated Melbourne living.

Recently recognised by  The Urban Developer for excellence in sales and project marketing,  The Marker has been shortlisted for Excellence in Marketing in the 2020 Industry Excellence Awards.

Occupying a site more than 4,000 sqm, once complete  The Marker will consist of 198 residential apartments and ground floor retail tenants anchored by an ALDI supermarket, providing a desirable and convenient lifestyle for residents.

Construction is underway with The Marker due for completion by late 2022

Developed in partnership with Lechte Corporation and Crema Group, with support from Plus Architecture and  Three Sixty Property,  The Marker is part of a vibrant mixed use area, Spencer, that will include a mix of retail, commercial, residential, community and creative destinations spanning Roden, King, Dudley, Rosslyn, and Spencer Streets.

The Spencer masterplan will transform the area into a lively new destination with shops, cafes, restaurants and bars lined by green streetscapes, small plazas and seating areas.

This new vision for Spencer will come to life over the next 10 to 15 years as part of the City of Melbourne’s West Melbourne Structure Plan.
