CDL Australia’s inner Brisbane urban renewal project, Brickworks Park, is forging ahead with all civil works now complete and construction of apartments powering ahead.
Brickworks Park is transforming a close city industrial site into a thriving new residential neighbourhood, centred on the site’s historic 100-year-old brick chimney – an iconic landmark in the Brisbane suburb of Alderley.
CDL’s construction partner Brisbane Builders has completed the structure for apartment building 3 with internal works now taking place, including flooring, joinery and tiling, while the structure for apartment building 4 is progressing at pace.
The project’s first stage provides a total of 107 apartments and 51 townhomes set amid expansive green space and exclusive resident recreation areas.
Brickworks Park will feature a club house, resort-style lagoon pool, dog park, car wash bay, multi-purpose court, art studio, gym, yoga lawn, activities shed and even a veggie garden.
Thousands of new plants and trees will be installed to replace the site’s former industrial sheds.
Brickworks Park blends seamlessly with the surrounding residential area and is located midway between the Alderley and Newmarket train stations and close to shopping, cafes, schools and parklands.
Alderley remains one of Brisbane’s most sought-after suburbs and has experienced exceptional price growth over the past few years.
Data from realestate.com.au shows apartment prices surged 16.9 per cent in Alderley in the 12 months to July 2024, while detached homes increased by 8.3% in the same period.
Buyers in the sold-out first stage of Brickworks Park included local families, downsizers and first home buyers, illustrating the project’s broad appeal.
