CDL ranks in Global 100 most sustainable companies for 12th consecutive year
CDL Australia’s parent company, City Developments Limited (CDL), has maintained its ranking as Singapore’s most sustainable company and also been named in the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations for the 12th consecutive year.
The 2021 rankings, based on analysis by international research group Corporate Knights, assess companies based on 24 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) indicators relative to their industry peers.
CDL was ranked the world’s top real estate company for sustainability, taking 40th place overall in the 2021 announcement. Since 2010, CDL has been the first and only Singapore company included in the Global 100 for 12 consecutive years.
The Group has also remained Singapore’s top-ranked most sustainable company in the world for the third consecutive year.

Australian project showcases sustainability leadership
CDL Australia’s first wholly-owned Australian development, Brickworks Park in Brisbane’s inner north, incorporates a wide range of sustainability features in line with the company’s world-leading approach to sustainable development.
Environmental aspects of Brickworks Park include the introduction of more than 15,000 new trees and plants, dedicating 43% of the 4.67-hectare site to green open space and recreation areas for residents.
Apartments in the new urban neighbourhood have been designed to designed to maximise light and air flow, with a single loaded corridor design to improve ventilation. All apartments also feature generous balconies to create a connection with the surroundings as well provide the living areas with abundant natural light.
