CDL Australia parent company, CDL, is celebrating a 60-year milestone this year, kicking off the celebrations with a Gatsby-themed dinner at Orchard Hotel in Singapore.
CDL’s Diamond Jubilee Dinner was held earlier this year with more than 500 staff attending, including CDL Australia representatives, to mark the anniversary.
Since its establishment six decades ago, CDL has developed a wide portfolio of residential, hospitality, commercial, retail and office real estate.
Attending the special occasion was CDL Executive Chairman Mr Kwek Leng Beng and his wife Mrs. Cecilia Kwek, alongside other CDL Board members. Mr Kwek expressed his pride in the Group’s growth and his confidence in the commitment and support shown by all CDL employees.
Mr Sherman Kwek, CDL Group Chief Executive Officer, reflected on the past 10 years, shared accomplishments in line with the Group’s GET strategy (Growth, Enhancement and Transformation) and highlighted changes in the organisational structure to further align CDL’s core business and responsibilities.
Looking ahead, the Group will continue to adapt and evolve under the guidance of the Executive Chairman, the Board of Directors, and with the support of all CDL employees.
Head of Development, CDL Australia, Cameron Laird, said the anniversary was an exciting time for CDL and coincided with the Group’s growing number of Australian developments.
“It is fantastic to see CDL’s achievements over the past six decades and great to see what we can also achieve here in Australia,” he said.
“With three build-to-sell and two build-to-rent residential projects under way, CDL Australia has already made a strong commitment to the local market.”
Led by a senior team of experienced property executives and working with leading local contractors, CDL has already successfully delivered joint venture projects, Ivy & Eve in South Brisbane and The Marker in Melbourne.
