CDL Australia’s first Melbourne build-to-rent project is advancing quickly with new levels going in and jumpform featuring a ‘gallery in the sky’ artwork from a local artist.
Located on Normanby Road in the popular Fishermans Bend precinct, the project will deliver 237 new apartments with a mix of configurations and a host of top-quality resident amenities.
CDL Australia’s building partner, Crema Constructions, is powering ahead on progress with the Level 4 and 5 slabs now under way and Core poured to Level 11.
Crema uses its high-profile construction sites to provide a showcase for budding Australian artists to demonstrate their talents while supporting a charity of their choice.
For Normanby, the artist chosen was Pietro Giordano with his work entitled ‘Harvest’, which speaks to the connection between people and the natural environment.
“I have always been very inspired by my surroundings and the continuous visual stimulation that it provides, from the earthy, raw landscapes of my birthplace Sicily to the vast and natural Australian environment and diversity of its people,” said Pietro.
“My paintings are depicting the strong connection between the human entity, the diversity of the natural and urban landscapes and the effects of time. This fusion creates ever evolving and varied experiences that become part of a continuous journey. Harvest is the giving of nature to the human entity.”
